6th July 2006 Windsurfing: Pevensey Bay Wind Direction: SW Wind Stength: 11-13 knts Surf / Sea State: flat Air Temperature: warm Sea Temperature: warm Weather: nice Max Speed: 25.5 (knots - unless stated otherwise) Distance Covered: Cheeky after lunch session at Pevensey Bay, Manta 75 & 7.0m GTX ... showed 25.5knots max on the Garmin, windy showed 11-13 knots on the beach with a gust of 15.6knots. Couple kiters out, doing a downwinder from Rosetti to the Environment Agency outfall, assume it was involuntary Windsurfers outnumbered the kiters (how it should be !) ... 'young' Ken (aged 70 !) was out on a 5.7m and a Flow, VFW Mark went for his 8.0m & Stoke 126, Lee went for 7.2m on a JP something or other, then grabbed bigger board, and I was on the Manta / 7.0m GTX for the duration. Shorty weather, winds a little fickle at times, but was powered up enough for 95% of the time, but wind dropped as I packed up around 4pm ... but Lee was busy rigging 9.4m to counter this ... myself ... homeward bound before 5pm under pain of death Anyone else get out ? |
